THE DEROGATORY TERM "EASY BELIEVISM" - LOOKED AT!

"Easy believism" is a derogatory term used by some opponents of
Christians; who rightly believe you can be saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in the gospel of Christ alone. Many opponents will use
James 2 v 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble,  to refute that one can be saved by just believing alone. We agree with all scripture but we also understand
that there is no salvation for the devils, and many who  confess to
 believe in God do not  believe the gospel of Christ for their salvation.
New testament salvation is more clearly found in Apostle Paul's letters
to the church, rather than the book of James (James 1 v 1 James, a
 servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes
 which are scattered abroad, greeting.) written to Jews in the
last days tribulation period. Genuine conviction of sin and the righteousness of Jesus must be understood by every believer
in this dispensation of grace. Ask any Catholic, Apostolic church
member, Jehovah witness, Seven day Adventist, Christadelphian,
 Mormon, and many calling themselves protestants if they believe
 the gospel of 1 Corinthians 15 v 1-4 and you will find they  have
 difficulty believing it! as they all add  works on for their salvation.
To justify themselves they will take you to James 2 v 17 Even so faith,
 if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Once again scripture here isn't rightly divided and understood in context and little regard is shown
to many scripture showing  that were not saved by our own works.
Ephesians 2 v 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
We see can see in Ephesians 2 v 8 - 10 we are saved by grace through
faith alone. Note the good works! ( not the works of the Mosaic law
in the old testament) come after salvation as we read, study, and
grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

John 16 v 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;

Acts 8 v 35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?
37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

Acts 16 v 23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.
25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.
27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.
29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.
34 And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.

Romans 1 v 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Romans 3 v 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
