"PILGRIM SOLDIER" by AMRIK

Genesis 47 v 9 And Jacob said unto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrim age are an hundred and thirty years: few and evil have the days of the years of my life been, and have not attained unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrim age.

Hebrews 11 v 13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrim s on the earth.

1 Peter 2 v 11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrim s, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

Were not here to build kingdoms and store up treasure on earth. Our greatest desire should be to win souls! This doesn't mean were
too heavenly minded for the practical day to day things in our lives. We have to accept all our responsibility`s in life and face our challenges.

Philippians 2 v  25 Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.

We are called to be soldiers and whether we like it or not were in a spiritual battle, and we need to learn how to overcome the enemy.

1 Peter 5 v Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

James 4 v Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Draw near to God; his truth is our shield and buckler. Read Jude 1 v 9.

Ephesians 6 v 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places

Get to know your armour its vital. Read Ephesians 6 v 11-18.

2 Corinthians 10 v 3  for though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Get to know your weapons to be more effective.

Hebrews 4 v 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Read your bible and study to rightly divide the word of truth.

PILGRIM SOLDIER.

Fare ye well, fare ye well,
Oh pilgrim soldier.
Fare ye well, fare ye well,
My valiant friend!
Girt up loins like a man,
Doing all that you can;
With the armour of our God,
Therefore, taking a stand!

Fare ye well, fare ye well,
Oh pilgrim soldier.
Fare ye well, fare ye well,
My valiant friend!
Not dismayed by what's ahead,
Bringing life to the dead,
May your love endure,
Staying faithful to the end!

Fare ye well, fare ye well,
Oh pilgrim soldier.
Fare ye well, fare ye well,
My valiant friend!
With the King James Bible in one hand,
And Christian battle notes in the other,
Marching on as to war,
Enduring hardness as a soldier!

Fare ye well, fare ye well,
Oh pilgrim soldier.
Fare ye well, fare ye well,
My valiant friend!
Thou we fight with evil
Powers and principalities,
We will not be the casualties.
We will labour day and night,
Because the Lord has
Taught us what is right!
