John Rogers awaited and met death on the 4th of February 1555
at Smithfield cheerfully, though he was denied even a last
moment with his wife. Rogers stands as the first blood on
the hands of Queen Bloody Mary and the first of hundreds
more to come.

BIBLICAL REPENTANCE AND SALVATION.

John 16 v 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 Of sin, because they believe not on me; 10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. The Comforter also referred to as the Spirit of truth in John 16 v 13 is quite clearly the Holy Spirit. To reject Jesus and his atonement for salvation is a sin that cannot be forgiven. Jesus rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven because he alone lived a perfect, righteous, sinless life. To the natural man it is not clear who the prince of this world is.
